The hotel was very comfortable and the rooms were spacious with all the eminities, such as refridgerator and hair dryer. The staff was very helpful and full filled all our needs from printing out walking instructions to getting us cars to take us to places.
I loved how close it was to everything. We had a wonderful time walking to Belltown, Space Needle, Pike Street Market, Pioneer Square, the Pier (Crab Pot) and Macy's! Also I loved the fact that the breakfast was in a restaurant where we could order an omlet instead of just muffins and fruit. The food was very good and it was nice to sit in the bar and have a cocktail after getting back from our walks before heading up to the room.
The parking garage was a little scary but we had a big truck. We learned that the city is better suited to small vehicles. No big deal we just left it there and walked!
We loved the Holiday Inn Restaurant, "The Grill." Not only was it convenient the food was delicious!
1St of all the parking garage was horrible! The ceiling was so low and the parking spaces were so close together. It was ridiculous trying to get our luggage out of the car without hitting the vehicle next to us. We actually didn't park in the garage one of the nights we were there because we got back from our event one night and there were no parking spaces! I wouldn't of been so upset if we didn't have to pay for the parking but we did! 2Nd thing I didn't like about the hotel was the girl at the front desk. She looked at me like I was crazy when I asked if she had any plastic utensils. She sounded really rude when she told me she could go find some and have someone bring it to my room. It was funny hearing her treat me that way especially when I just ran into the gm in the elevator and he was very nice and polite. 3Rdly it was very loud and we could not sleep. The people above us sounded like they were having a party in their room, there were a crowd of people outside our room door talking very loudly at 2 in the morning for like 30 minutes and lastly our room was facing the busy street and we could hear every vehicle that went by and all the drunk bums on the sidewalk. It just was not a pleasant relaxing experience that I think a hotel stay should be. I usually don't want to leave hotels but in this case I could not wait to get out of there. I will not recommend this hotel to anyone.
The property was very nice. The hotel staff were very helpful and did go out of the way to assist the customers.
I couldn't not believe that parking was not included in the price of the hotel. Also the movies that you could order was more expensive than if you walked down and went to the theater.
Pleasant and helpful staff, spacious and clean rooms, environmental awareness of natural resources, needs were accommodated.
There was a whirring sound that emanated from the bathroom that could be heard when the door was open. A small night light would have been helpful. A larger coffe pot would have been nice too.
The hotel is well located for the city centre and the space needle and has a nice bar / restaurant attached. The room was large, well equipted, clean and comfortable. The staff were also very helpful and I would recommend staying here.
it was very comfort for us and close to the Space Needle.
nothing in particular . It`s a bit far from down town , 15 to 20 minutes walk .
It is close to seattle center (5 min walk).
It is quite far from seattle downtown. You have to take the public transportation. Not that much restaurants in the neigbourhood
The hotel is very centrally located. The staff was very knowledgeable and helpful in providing directions to various destinations. Good fitness center. We would definitly stay there again.
No coffee available in the lobby and no swimming pool.
We were staying there on the eve of an Alaskan Cruise. The location was extremely convenient to downtown, Pike's Market, the Space Needle and most importantly Pier 66 where our cruise was leaving from. We walked effortlessly to all of these locations, but were pleasantly surprised to find that the hotel had a shuttle running to the cruise piers for only a small fee, several times an hour. Our flight arrived at 9:40 A.M., but we knew checkin was not until 3:00 P.M.. When we simply asked if they could store our lugguge until check-in, they gladly said they had a room already, and checked us in hours early, The staff was extremely helpful, and friendly, and the room was extremely spacious. I would definitely recommend it, and would stay there again without hesitation. One final note: I emailed ahead inquiring about what they recommended as transportation from the airport to the hotel. The manager not only gave me 3 great options to consider, but then reserved a towncar to pick us up for a $20 per person flat fee door to door. Great service, and great value compared to taxi, or shuttles. And, they knew the fast routes to avoid traffic, because they aren't on a meter like a taxi, who gets paid more for sitting in traffic: ) We arrived at the hotel within 15 minutes.
Everyone at the desk was most friendly and helpful, even to the black lady behind the desk loaning me a cigarette when I had a yearn but no smokes. It was nice they had a shuttle to the ball game where we saw our beloved Yankees win on 9/12/11. The lounge area was extremely welcoming, and we sat there for a couple of hours before finding our bus and traveling to Union Amtrack Station.
I wasn't thrilled with the location, as my husband and I are partially handicapped and there was not a convenience store easy to walk to, though we did go to Walgreen's but through a very iffey neighborhood. Most of the people we saw looked dignified and safe, but I wouldn't have walked there alone or at night.
The staff went well and beyond to make us feel welcome. They were all so willing to help, whether is was just a basic direction,or to tell us the best places to eat on our budget. It was very clean and comfortable. We were always greeted with a smile. I would highly recommend this hotel to all my friends.
Awesome! Place to stay & to relax after long day of travel and visit all the wonderful attraction here in seattle. A big thanks to all the costumer service staff , for sure I will recommend your place to all my contact friends.
Many thanks espacially to Justin Hatfield (Guest Services Manager) for his nice mails in advance of our stay. He was very helpful in finding the easiest route from Airport to the Holiday Inn Seattle (furthermore he has sent us a schedule information). Dear Justin, thank you very much. It was a special pleasure beeing your guestes. We enjoyed our stay in Seattle very much!
By mistake we took the Holiday Inn Express Seattle City Center (226 Aurora Avenue, Seattle) for Holiday Inn Seattle, because they are next to each other. The staff of Holiday Inn Express Seattle City Center was very unfriendly and rude, absolutely unprofessional. We were relieved, as we recognised, that we don't have to be guests of such incompetent front desk employees. Dear Mr. Hatfield, those people were worthless working for your Holiday Inn...
